• This section covers
crankcase
separation to service the crankshaft.
• The following parts must be removed before separating
the crankcase:

Whe

assembling the crankcase and crankshaft, force the crankshaft into
the
case bore with the special tool rested against
the crankshaft bearing inner race. To do this, it is necessary to remove the old bearing from the crankshaft and drive a new
bearing onto the crankshaft on the case side. Use a new oil seal after
assembling
the
crankcase.
