Punch stuck in the plate.
Motor running loud.
Increase in machine load
is felt.
Too high thickness or too
high shear strength
R
m
of
the plate.
Choose a punch with a proper
diameter for the plate thickness.
Do not exceed the maximum
plate thickness or the value of
shear strength
R
m
specified in
“Maximum plate thicknesses”.
Die with parallel surfaces
used for an inclined plate,
5° inclined die used for a
plate with parallel surfaces,
or one surface of the plate
not inclined by 5° when
used with a 5° inclined die.
Use a die with parallel surfaces
for a plate with parallel
surfaces, while a 5° inclined die
for a plate which one surface is
inclined by 5°.
Punch or die installed
incorrectly.
Install the punch and die as
described in “Installing the
punch and die” section.
Restrainer not fully
supported on the plate.
Position the machine as
described in “Positioning”
section.
Excessive wear of the
punch or die.
Replace worn tools.
Oil inlet closed by the
transport cap.
Remove the transport cap and
put the oil plug to the oil inlet.
Oil level too low.
Fill the power pack with oil.
Punch cracked.
Too high thickness or too

Punch or die installed
incorrectly.
Install the punch and die as
described in “Installing the

Restrainer not fully
supported on the plate.
Position the machine as
described in “Positioning”

Automatic process not
starting when the punch
reaches the plate.
Low load. Plate too thin to
be detected.
Press and hold the DOWN
button until the hole is made.
Punch not retracting
automatically after the hole
is made manually by
holding DOWN button.
Automatic process not
started because of low load
when punching a thin plate.
Press and hold the STOP/UP
button to retract the punch.
Punch deformed the plate
when moving up.
Low width of the plate in
relation to the punch
diameter.
To help, lubricate the cylindrical
surface of the punch with
pressing oil or machine oil.
Excessive wear of the
restrainer.
Replace the restrainer as
described in “Replacing the
