The mask test is performed before the begin-
ning of soft start and gives the patient time to
check the correct fit of the mask at maximum
therapy pressure. Depending on the mode, the
maximum therapy pressure is based on the pres-
sure setting (pressure or IPAP).

Start Stop Automatic

Off

, Start/Stop, Start

The parameter determines how therapy starts
or ends. If Start Stop Automatic is set to “Off”,
therapy can only be started or ended by press-
ing the on/off key.
With “Start/Stop”, therapy can also be started
by the patient breathing and ended by taking
off the mask.
With “Start”, therapy can also be started by
the patient breathing, but can only be ended
by pressing the on/off key.

The parameter determines how much effort is
