Faults Analysis

6.1 Overview

·When there is a problem with the soft starter application, this chapter will be used as a guide.

·When there is a problem with the soft starter application, the fault type will be displayed on the LCD.

6.2 Common problems and countermeasures

Please make correct cabling
Connect to the power
Cut off the power, then power on

When the bypass operation mode is
selected, check whether the bypass
works and 01, 02 terminals are
connected.

Check the connection of bypass contactor
Check the connection of bypass contactor coil

Check whether the keyboard has
abnormal display

Please read the instruction sheet of function operation and fault
solutions

Check whether the motor has been
locked (load is too heavy)

Please release the lock of motor (reduce the load)

Keyboard cannot

start

Check whether 07,10 terminals are
displayed and opened circuit, and
code FB setting is normal

If no display: check whether power lacks of phase, and check the
incoming power
If display: check whether 10,07,08 are opened circuit, and check
the external wiring of terminals, and set FB code correctly.

External control

cannot start

Check whether code FB is set in
external control

Check whether 10,07,08 are opened circuit, and check the
external wiring of terminals, set FB correctly and whether it is in
the external position.

The motor rotates

but the speed does

not change

Check whether the load is too
heavy; and display current is greater
than actual current

Please reduce the load
Increase the staring voltage, enlarge the power of soft start, and
adjust the display current
