PLOW WILL NOT STAY RAISED
Locate the down hydraulic solenoid (See Power Unit Drawing).
Perform the Hydraulic Solenoid Test Procedure on it.
IS THE DOWN SOLENOID CONSTANTLY ON?
No.
Yes.

Perform the Controller Test Procedure.

DID CONTROLLER TEST OK?

No.
Yes.

Perform Under Hood Harness Test Procedure.
|
|
DID UNDER HOOD HARNESS TEST OK?

|
No.
Yes.

Perform Plow Harness Test Procedure.
|
|
|
DID PLOW HARNESS TEST OK?

|
|
No.
Yes.
|
|
|
|
Problem may be intermittent.

Check BROWN wire between J1 - 3 & down solenoid
|
|
|
for short to +12.
|
|
|

Check RED wire between P2 - 2 & Relay Box for short to +12.

Check BROWN wire between Relay Box & P1 - 3 for short to +12.

PLOW WILL NOT HOLD ANGLE
The above problem was included in this electrical troubleshooting guide for completeness and as a
point of reference. Generally a hydraulic problem is suspected if the plow will not hold a moldboard left,
or moldboard right angle. See Hydraulic Unit Service Manual.
