CHAPTER 4 TROUBLESHOOTING
4-1 INTRODUCTION
This chapter is to provide how to make troubleshooting when machine is malfunction and how
to prevent breakdown problems happen again for extending machine’s lifetime and getting high
working efficiency. If replace components or do maintenance when machine is malfunction,
please inform the qualified people to repair or disassemble this applicator.
4-2 SAFE PRECAUTIONS
1) Make sure the external power supply is disconnected before replace any electrical
components or covers for safety.
2) Make sure inner air pressure of heating hose and dispensing nozzle is exhausted before
plugging or unplugging the connectors of heating hose and dispensing nozzle for safety.
3) Make sure the motor is stopped before disassembling the cover of motor to avoid finger
being clipped by chain and gear.
4) Always wear the protective glasses, clothing and heat-resistant gloves to avoid being
burned by hot surface of components or molten glue.
5) Do not heat the component with flame or torch. If components are necessary to be heated,
please use electrical oven or electrical heat gun is suggested.
6) Do not wear rings, watches or necklaces to avoid getting shock while doing maintenance.
4-3 TROUBLESHOOTING OF MECHANICAL AND ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS
PROBLEM CAUSE REPAIR
1. Main switch is not opened
fully or this switch is
broken. 1. Check main switch to see if it is
opened fully. If yes, please replace a
new switch.
2. Set wrong temperature on
controller. Re-set temperature controller.
3. Temperature protective
device is being set wrong
temperature. Re-set by qualified maintenance
people.
Melting tank cannot be
heated or temperature of
melting tank cannot arrive
at setting value.
4. Heater or temperature
controller of melting tank is
broken. Check electrical wires of heater or
temperature controller to see if they
are coming off. If not, please
replace a new heater or temperature
controller.
1. Fuse is broken. Replace a new fuse.
2. Temperature controller of
heating hose is broken. Replace a new temperature
controller.
Heating hose is not being
heated when power is
turned on.
3. Temperature sensor is
broken.
Replace a new sensor.
