 Press CLOSE pushbutton. Gate moves towards the CLOSED position.
 On reaching the CLOSED limit switch, the gate will stop and then move
automatically and slowly in the OPEN direction.
 On reaching the OPEN limit switch, the gate stops once again and saves the
measured runtime. The control system then performs a restart.
 Check that the gate moves more slowly when approaching the two limit
positions and the motor stops when the gate has reached the end positions.
Attention: The registering of the motor runtime always starts when the
gate moves away from the CLOSED position. The runtime is then measured
from the CLOSED position to the OPEN position.
The mechanically free running of the gate must not be impaired during the two
movements to measure the motor current. Otherwise, incorrect reference values
will be saved and subsequent mechanically poor running of the gate will not be
recognised early enough.
7.5 CONNECTING FLASHLIGHTS
The output of relay ‘Rel1’ has been set up for the flashing function by the
manufacturer.
A self-flashing light for +24 V is connected to relay ‘Rel1’ as follows.
 Switch on the power supply to the control system.
 C24 V power supply to ‘Rel1’ output relay.
 Connect flashlight to the output relay ‘Rel1’ and to GND (0 volt).
 Switch on the power supply to the control system.
The flashlight is switched on by the control system as soon as a movement
command is recognized and can be executed by the control system. It remains
active for as long as the motor is being driven.
Three seconds before an automatic closing run of the gate, the relay for the
flashlight is also switched on and remains activated throughout the closing run of
the gate.
In some countries there is a regulation that this pre-warning must be activated for
three seconds before any gate movement (even before opening). Only then will
the motor be driven and the gate moved. This general pre-warning can be
switched on and off as follows:
 Menu: “Service Access”, “Password Input”: Enter password.
 Menu: “Settings”, “Set timer”, “Pre-warning flashlight”:
 Value 0: general pre-warning time switched off
 Value 1: general pre-warning time switched on
