5.3 ROTARY AND SELECTION SWITCH
The control system displays can be influenced using the rotary and selection
switch. This rotary and selection switch can also be used to control the
parameterisation of the control system by means of the integrated menu system.
This control knob has two functions. The knob can be rotated to change the value
of a displayed variable: turn the knob to the right [clockwise] to increase the
value and to the left [anti-clockwise] to decrease it. By rotating the knob in this
way, it is also possible to browse forwards and backwards within a displayed table
or within a memory area.
If the knob is pressed down, a displayed value is accepted, a different mode
selected or a display or selection (menu) exited.
5.4 LCD DISPLAY
To show detailed information on the control system, an LC display with 2 lines of
16 characters each is provided. This display shows in plain text format, for
example, the currently active operating mode of the control system or the
movement status of the motor (Open, Close).
The background lighting of the display is active for as long as inputs are being
made using the rotary and selection switch. The lighting goes off 20 seconds after
the most recent operation. It can, however, be switched back on at any time by
rotating the selection switch.
Information: The display lighting flashes for a few seconds after the
control system has been switched back on, or following a software reset.
This signals the start-up process of the program.
