Fixed safety contact strips (SKL) 6.5.2
The evaluation of the fixed safety contact strips (SKL) are always activated by the
manufacturer. The strips are connected as follows:
 Switch off the power supply to the motor drive.
 Connect the contact strip(s) for the OPEN direction to the terminal SKL
open.
 Connect the contact strip(s) for the CLOSE direction to the terminal SKL
close.
 Switch on the power supply to the control system.
 Check that the strips are correctly connected by checking the “Sensor
display” screen and the response of the gate for the corresponding direction
of movement in “Automatic mode”.
Accompanying safety contact strips (ISK) 6.5.3
The evaluation of the accompanying safety contact strips (SKL), connected via the
ISK system, is also always activated by the manufacturer. The ISK system (fixed
SPK55 coil core only) is connected as follows:
 Switch off the power supply to the motor drive.
 Connect the ISK system (fixed coil core) to the ISK terminal.
 Switch on the power supply to the control system.
 Check that the accompanying strips are correctly connected by checking the
“Sensor Display” screen and the response of the gate for the corresponding
direction of movement in “Automatic mode”.
If the evaluation of the ISK system is not activated in the control system, it is
switched on by the following procedure:
 Menu: “Service Access”, “Password Input”: Enter password.
 Menu: “Settings”, “Safety”, “Activate ISK”
 Exit menu
Light barrier 6.5.4
It is possible to connect one-way light barriers as well as reflex light barriers that
work with an operating voltage of 24 V
DC
directly to the control system. The input
signal of the light barrier is connected to terminal no. 2 with the designation
“LB in”.
