17.3.2 Fault messages of the heatapp! system
Messages Solutions
The current version of your heatapp! base does not support
all the required functionalities of your heatapp! gateway .
Please update your heatapp! base on the update page.
Function compatibility of heatapp! base and heatapp! gateway
do not match. The heatapp! base must be updated. Go to the
app and select Settings > System > System Management and
update the
heatapp! base .
The current version of your heatapp! gateway does not

Function compatibility of heatapp! base and heatapp! gateway
do not match. The heatapp! gateway must be updated. Go to
the app and select Settings > Gateway > System Management

The heatapp! base is not connected to the heatapp! gateway

The error message is displayed after 15 minutes without
communication between the devices. After 90 minutes,
temperatures will not be displayed any more in the rooms.
The cause of the error is almost exclusively found in the
network area. Often the error occurs when one or both
heatapp! devices are connected to the network via WLAN/Wi-
Fi. WLAN/Wi-Fi networks are prone to interference even if the
user cannot always identify this. Heatapp! frequently requires
somewhat longer to reconnect to the WLAN/Wi-Fi network.
If this error message occurs frequently, we always recommend
to use a LAN cable to connect to the network—at least in order
to test the cable. If the error message is no longer received
when the LAN cable is connected, the cause is clearly to be
found in the WLAN network. If necessary, a WLAN repeater or
the connection of the
heatapp! devices via Powerline Adapter
may correct this problem.
Room name radio component actuator number indicates a

If using heatapp! drive systems, the communication of the
respective heatapp! drive with the heatapp! gateway is
interrupted.
If using
heatapp! floor systems, the communication of the
respective heatapp! floor (the number indicates the channel)
with the heatapp! gateway is interrupted.
Solution:
Checking the function and position of the repeaters
Checking of the position of the aerials of the
heatapp! floor
Check in the Live View whether the line of the setpoint
temperature is continuous or interrupted. A broken line
indicates radio signal problems.
Proceed with the function “Repair radio system”
Check the connection status
If possible, move the
heatapp! gateway so that it is positioned
in the centre between the radio components.
If possible, use a repeater to improve the radio coverage.
Interface is interrupted This message occurs when the heatapp! base is connected to
the energy provider via Open Therm or T2B bus and the data
link is interrupted.
