Four post parking lift Happ25 4 post hoist

Ensure both ends of the safety release are positioned equally (i.e. both at same position
clockwise as below) and tighten the threaded rod and lock nut to ensure they rod is secure.
Figure: connecting rods at bot ends,(F on left an C on right picture) the top of the lever at
each end are toward the centre of the lift and are at the same relative location clockwise.
Tip: You should have two correctly sized open end spanners or preferably an open ended
ring spanner and open ended spanner for this task. Using mutli grips etc will not lock the two
rods together.
With the two ends locked together and tested for tightness and alignment, connect the tie
rods to from the latches.
Adjust cable / lift and lowering
At this point the lifting and lowering of the hoist should be checked to ensure that all cables
are lifting and lowering evenly. The latches can only work correctly if this is the case.
Test the latch operation by lifting and checking all latches release and engage at the same
time. If they are not engaging the cause will likely be either the lifting cable adjustment or the
latch adjustment.
If the latches are not set correctly one or two of the latches will fail to engage or disengage. If
two at one end fail to engage / disengage, check the main connection rod is aligned or has
not come loose. If just one fails to engage / disengage it is likely the adjustment of the tie rod.
Final testing of the lift
Putting load onto the hoist may alter the settings previously set.
•
Check all fittings, bolts and connections for tension.
•
Check all cables are routed cleanly and are not contacting wearing surfaces ( heads of bolts).
•
Test the operation of the lift at low levels ensuring the hoist lifts and lowers evenly and that safety
latches engage and disengage correctly.
•
Test the operation of hoist at higher lift heights.
•
Lower to ground and load a test vehicle. Follow the same test procedure.
