Leftover feed alert level
If, at the end of the cycle, the animal's leftover feed exceeds the specified percentage, the animal will be added to the watch
list.
Start of Cycle
The time at which new feed calculations are made for the coming cycle (end of cycle is 5 minutes before the start of the next
cycle).
Max. daily ration
Maximum amount in kg which may be fed per day, protects against overfeeding.
Carry over leftover feed
Any feed credit remaining at the end of the cycle will carry over to the following day/cycle.
Max. carry
Max. carry over the percentage of maximum feed credit which can carry over.
Note: Leftover feed TAURUS:
If the management software does not support leftover feed carry over, the Spider can perform this function with the
option

. If the management software does support leftover feed carry over, this option should
be disabled in the Spider.
Number of milking sessions
Only applicable if the Spider is installed in the milking parlour (milking parlour feed credit is
divided by this number).
Duration of milking sessions
Time across which the feed credit will be distributed during Spider Milking Parlour Feeding.
Note: the ration or percentage for the milking parlour must be set in the group otherwise
the animals will not be fed in the milking parlour.
Milking parlour feeding in combination with concentrate feeders:
if an animal is fed in the milking parlour, its feed will be disabled for all feed types for the next 60 minutes. This prevents over-
feeding.
Use block times
The feeding system will not issue feed during block times, only applicable for Spider feeding
stations.
