7.5.1.2 Feed type
Click on submenu feed types and select one of the preconfigured feed types. The screen will be displayed as shown below.
Feed type:
Feed type number.
Description:
Enter the name of the feed type.
Calibration transponder:
This is the transponder number which can be used to calibrate this feed type. For further ex

planation, see chapter 7.4.
Max per visit %:
Default 30%. Set the maximum amount of this feed type an animal should receive per
visit. This affects the minimum number of visits an animal needs to receive its full
feed ration every day. It may be necessary to adjust this for certain feed types.
When a
SpiderPCB is set to 'In Milking Parlour', the Spider does not check this setting and the total
feed ration is distributed over the number of milking sessions.
Assigned to dispenser:
This indicates whether this feed type has been assigned to a dispenser. This can be program

med in the SpiderPCB configuration, see chapter 4.2.
