Do not kink or pinch the mains cord or
lay it over sharp edges.
■
Ensure that the mains cable does not
come into contact with hot parts of the
appliance.
■
If the supply cord is damaged, it must be
replaced by the manufacturer, its service
agent or similarly qualifi ed persons in or-
der to avoid a hazard.
■
Do not put any objects in or through the
housing openings, and also ensure that
children cannot insert any objects into
them.
■
Switch off the appliance fi rst before pull-
ing the mains plug from the socket.
■
Always take hold of the mains plug it-
self, not the mains cord. Never touch the
mains plug with wet hands.
■
Never immerse the appliance, mains
cord or plug in water or any other liquids.
■
Switch off the appliance and unplug it
from the mains when not in use, in the
event of a fault, and before cleaning or
maintenance.
■
Changes and repairs to the appliance
may be carried out only by authorised
specialists, such as our Service team (see
„Service“ on page EN-23).
Carrying out repairs to the appliance
yourself could result in damage to prop-
erty or personal injury and will invalidate
any liability or warranty claims.
Never try to repair a defective or suspect-
ed defective appliance yourself. Never
open the housing.

Only parts corresponding to the original
appliance specifi cations may be used for
repairs. This appliance contains electri-
cal and mechanical parts which are es-
sential for protection against potential
sources of danger.

Improper handling of the appliance can

When laying the mains cord, take care to
prevent the risk of tripping.
Fire hazard!
The appliance heats up during use.

Place only cups and other non-fl amma-
ble objects on the hotplate on top of the
appliance. Do not cover the appliance
with towels, etc.
Risks for certain groups of people
Dangers for children and people with lim-
ited physical, sensory or mental capacity!
They often fail to recognise hazards or un-
derestimate them.

This appliance can be used by children
aged from 8 years and above if they
have been given supervision or instruc-
tion concerning use of the appliance in
a safe way and if they understand the
hazards involved. Cleaning and user
maintenance shall not be made by chil-
dren unless they are older than 8 and su-
pervised. Keep the appliance and its cord
out of reach of children aged less than 8
years.

Appliances can be used by persons with
reduced physical, sensory or mental ca-
pabilities or lack of experience and
knowledge if they have been given su-
pervision or instruction concerning use
of the appliance in a safe way and un-
derstand the hazards involved.
■
Children shall not play with the appli-
ance.
