After frothing milk, you can remove
hot water or brew espresso only once
the Espresso Machine is in standby mode
(all LED rings steadily light up white).
Hot water function
Requirements: The water tank must be filled
with enough water and the appliance must be
in standby mode (all LED rings steadily light
up white).
1. Place a cup or something similar under
the steam lance (4).
2. Press the hot water button (12).
Hot water flows from the steam lance into
the cup.
The LED ring around the hot water button
pulses.
When approx. 250 ml of hot water have
been released, the hot water will automat-
ically stop being dispensed.
If you would like to stop hot water from
being dispensed, press the hot water but-
ton again.
Setting the amount to be
brewed
This function lets you set how many ml of
espresso should be brewed per brewing pro-
cess. You can select 20–60 ml for one cup
and 60–100 ml for two cups.

Requirement: The Espresso Machine must
be in standby mode (all LED rings steadily
light up white).
1. Simultaneously press and hold the one-
cup button (14) and the two-cups button
(15) for approx. 8 seconds.
The LED rings around the two buttons
now flash; the LED ring around the hot
water button (12) is no longer illuminated.
2. Press the one-cup button to set the
amount for one cup.
3. Press the one-cup button again when the
amount you want is right.
You’ve now set and saved the amount for
espresso.
4. Repeat these steps to set the amount for
two cups.
5. Press the hot water button (12) to finish
the process.
The Espresso Machine is in standby
mode again.
The new espresso amounts are saved.
Revert to factory settings for amount
to be brewed
Requirement: The Espresso Machine must
be in standby mode (all LED rings steadily
light up white).
• Press and hold the one-cup button (14)
or the two-cups button (15) until the LED
ring around the button flashes twice and a
beep sounds.
