Carry out a test run

Never try to force open the loading
door whilst a cycle is in progress or
once a cycle has ended before it has
been automatically released. You
could damage it in this way.
Your washing machine requires an initial
wash cycle without laundry, but with deter-
gent. The aim of this is to rinse out possible
residues from production.
1. Check whether the water inlet hose (2)
and outlet hose (17) are securely con-
nected.
2. Open the tap fully.
3. Empty the drum.
4. Push the loading door (12) tightly closed.

5. If the partition (19) is located in the left
chamber II of the dispensing drawer (4),
take it out. Keep it safe as it is needed
when liquid detergent is used.
6. Dispense a maximum of 25 ml of compact
detergent into left chamber II.

7. Switch on the appliance using the on/off
switch (10).
8. Set the cycle selector (5) to the cycle
‘Cotton’.
The LED below the name of the cycle
flashes.

9. Press the button
(7).
The wash cycle begins. The display
(6) shows the remaining cycle time as
well as the progress of the wash cycle:
Wash, rinse, spin. After the cycle has fin-
ished, ‘End’ will appear on the display.
10. Press and hold the on/off switch (10)
to turn the appliance off.
11. Pull out the mains plug.
12. Close the valve.
13. Wait until the locking time has lapsed
and the door is released;
the ‘Padlock’ symbol switches to the
‘Open’ position . Then open the load-
ing door (12) and unload the laundry.
14. Leave the loading door open and pull
the dispensing drawer out slightly to al-
low the interior of the washing machine
to dry out.
Start-up is now finished.
