Using standard cycles
First steps
Requirements
– You have read chapter „Safety“ on page
EN-5 and understood all the safety notices.
– The appliance is prepared as described in
Chapter „Start-up“ on page EN-36.
1. Check whether the water inlet and outlet
hose are securely connected.
2. Open the tap fully.
3. Load the laundry into the drum.
4. Push the loading door (12) tightly closed.
5. Dispense washing detergent and fab-
ric-care products as described on page
EN-12.
6. To turn the appliance on, press and hold
the on/off switch (10) for a few sec-
onds.
Select the cycle and start
This section does not apply to the ‘Easy Care’,
‘Wool’ or ‘Extras’ cycles. See „Selecting and
starting cycle with sub-cycle“ on page EN-17.

1. Set the cycle selector (5) to the desired
cycle.
The corresponding LED flashes.
The display (6) shows the key cycle char-
acteristics.

2. Press the button
(7).
The ‘Padlock’ symbol shortly appears at
the ‘Locked’ position and the wash cy-
cle begins. The display shows the remain-
ing cycle time, as well as the progress of
the wash cycle: Wash, rinse, spin. After
the cycle has finished, ‘End’ will appear
on the display.
