Please note that customising a standard cy-
cle can influence the cycle duration as well as
the water and energy consumption.
Reduce temperature
With the exception of the ‘Extras’ cycle, you
can reduce the washing temperature or se-
lect
(
cold) for every cycle.
Reduce spin speed
You can reduce the spin speed for most cycles.
Only for cycle ‘Extras (4 Drum cleaning)’ is
the spin speed factory-set.
The symbol
represents ‘No spin’. The
washing process ends with the rinse and the
laundry remains in the rinse water. You must
start the ‘Extra sub-cycle’ to spin and drain
later.
Selecting the type of dirt
A grass stain must be treated differently than
a coffee stain, an oil stain differently than a
sweat stain.
To remove a stain as appropriately as possi-
ble, your washing machine has cycles for 22
different types of dirt; it adjusts the wash cycle
accordingly.

Select degree of staining
Depending on the level of soiling, you can
adjust the cycle to the degree of staining; the
standard value is ‘2’.
Switching pre-wash on/off
In most cycles you can also activate a pre-
wash. However, please bear in mind that this
is only necessary in rare cases.
