5. Only open the lint trap anticlockwise to
the point where water flows out. If nec-
essary, empty the collecting vessel in
between.
6. If there is no more drainage, unscrew the
debris trap all the way and remove it.
7. Remove any debris and thoroughly clean
the debris trap under running water.
8. Then put it back in again. Make sure that
the handle is in a horizontal position.
9. Tighten the debris trap by turning it clock-
wise until it stops.

10. Close the cover (14) again.
Emptying residual water

Improper handling of the appliance

The appliance is very heavy. Nev-
er carry it alone, but always have at
least two persons to do so.
Sometimes – for example, if the appliance is
in a room that isn’t protected by frost – you
should empty the residual water to prevent
the cables in the appliance from freezing and
causing damage.
1. Follow the steps described in the Chap-
ter „Cleaning the lint trap“ on page EN-34,
Sections 1 to 5.
2. Together with another person, tilt the ap-
pliance slightly forward to let the water
remaining in the appliance run off.
3. Then put it back in again. Make sure that
the handle is in a horizontal position.
4. Tighten the debris trap by turning it clock-
wise until it stops.
5. Close the cover (14) again.
6. Unscrew the intake hose from the tap and
remove the drainage hose from the tub or
siphon to drain any residual water.
