Safety Notes
Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) (safety shoes, gloves, etc.)
The product may only be used for bathing, hygienic and body cleaning
purposes.
Children as well as adults with physical, mental and/or sensoric impairments
must not use this product without proper supervision. Persons under the
influence of alcohol or drugs are prohibited from using this product.
The hot and cold supplies must be of equal pressures.
Electrical connection
The current version of the applicable regulations from VDE, local authorities and
utility companies must be observed for electric installation work.
The installation and test work must be performed by an authorized electrician
under consideration of DIN VDE 0100 part 701 / IEC 60364-7-701.
The system must be protected via a leakage current protective device (RCD/ FI)
with a measurement difference current of ≤ 30 mA.
The proper function of this protective device must be checked at regular
intervals.
The ambient temperature must not be higher than 50ºC.
Installation Instructions
• Prior to installation, inspect the product for transport damages. After it has been
installed, no transport or surface damage will be honoured.
• The pipes and the fixture must be installed, flushed and tested as per the
applicable standards.
• The plumbing codes applicable in the respective countries must be observed.
• During installation of the product by qualified trained personnel, make sure that
the entire fastening surface is even and smooth (no protruding seams or tile
offset), that the finish of the wall is suitable to apply the product and has no
weak points.
• Any work may only be carried out in a de-energized state.
• Only standardized materials may be used for the installation.
• All components must remain accessible.
• No easily inflammable material is allowed in the immediate vicinity.
transformer
The power supply unit must be installed in a flush socket > Ø 60 mm (deep
version). This flush socket is connected with the installation area for the iBox
control via an empty conduit EN 20.
The voltage supply from the 12 V DC SELV must only be fed via the included
transformer type 30335810. The transformer must be installed safe from
outside contact outside the zones 0, 1 and 2 in a flush-type box to be provided
by the customer.
The mains voltage of 100 - 240 V AC 50 - 60 Hz must be supplied via a
existing shutoff device (switch) as well as a ground fault protector (RCD / FI)
with a measured differential current of ≤ 30 mA.
A different or excessive use is considered non-intended. The user/operator bears
the sole risk. The intended use includes the adherence to the operating instructions
and the observance of the inspection and maintenance guidelines. The manufactur-
er/seller of this product does not assume any responsibility for injuries or damage
that may be caused by improper installation or non-intended use.

Repair
Only by Hansgrohe trained personnel or persons or companies appointed by
Hansgrohe.
Thermal disinfection
Thermal disinfection pursuant to process sheet DVGW W 551 (≥ 70°C / > 3 min)
must only be carried out by qualified personnel.
While flushing with hot water, all safety functions of the scalding protection
device are deactivated. Water temperatures in excess of 49°C occur; in
addition, surfaces can get hot. Absolutely avoid contact with water and
surfaces as there is a risk of injury.
Triggering the function:
• Press the rotary knob for 10 seconds..
• Then press the four buttons hand shower / head shower / temperature / play in
succession.
• Now a countdown starts; at 0, a flashing exclamation mark appears and the
current ACTUAL temperature is displayed.
The function is immediately aborted if any of the buttons are pressed.
To perform the thermal disinfection, the system determines within 150 s whether the
water temperature is > 60°C. If this is not the case, the operation is aborted. After
the last operation, the system must be in a non-operating state for min. 2 minutes,
otherwise thermal disinfection is not possible.

• The temperature shown on the display is the “set temperature” which may differ
slightly from the actual water temperature at the outlet.
• Using the full scope of functions is only possible when the hansgrohe home app
is installed.

Fault Cause Remedy
Error message "F00" - CAN communication error - Check the cable and connectors between iBox Control and RainPad, disconnect
system from the power supply and re-establish power supply after approx. 10s
Error message "F98" - Mixed water temperature > 45°C, for example due
to a cold water failure
- Wait until the system has cooled down; this can take several minutes; carry out a
network reset / restart afterwards; please contact Hansgrohe Service if that proves
unsuccessful
Error message "F99" - The flow temperature is too low - Increase flow temperature; please contact Hansgrohe Service if that proves
unsuccessful
