nectthewiresasperthewiringdiagrams.

Note: Preferable if the thermostat is installed
on an interior wall.

FINAL CHECK

Before leaving this unit with the customer, the
installer must ensure that the appliance is firing
correctly.Thisincludes:

1) Clockingtheappliancetoensurethecorrect

firingrate(ratenotedonlabel)at15minutes.

2) Ifrequired,adjustingtheprimaryairtoensure

thattheflamedoesnotcarbon.Firstallowthe
unittoburnfor15min.tostabilize.

3) Checkforproperdraft.

soo-ting or carboning that results in damage
to the exterior facia is not the responsibility
of the manufacturer.

CAUTION

Do not wire millivolt

wall thermostat wires

to 120V wire.

BACK UP BATTERY

In the event of a power outage the unit may be
operatedbyabackupbatterysystem.

1.Opentheright(whenfacingfrontofappliance)

accesspanelbyremoving1screw.

2.Install4AAbatteriesintothebatteryholder.

Note: Removethebatterieswhennormalopera-

tionisresumedastheheatwilldrainthebat-
terypowerrapidly.

TocodetheIFCtothehandheldremote,follow
theprocedurebelow.

1.Openthehebottomfrontaccesspaneloftheunit.

NOTE:EnsurethatthemainON/OFFswitchisin
theONposition.(Unitwillnotfunction,unlessitis
inONposition)

2.Plug in 120 volt power cord into a grounded

receptacle

orinstall4AAbatteriesintobattery

packandplugintobatteryterminalslocatednear
thegasvalve.Donotuseboth.Onlyusethe4
AAbatteriesif120voltpowerisnotavailable.

3.Press down the black button on the left side

panel(whenfacingunit)until3beepsareheard.

MANUAL OPERATION
(NO REMOTE)

Todivorcetheremotetransmitter,presstheblack
button until it beeps 3 times, within 10 seconds
presstheblackbuttonagainuntilabeepisheard.
Afterdivorcingtheremotetransmitter,theON/OFF
switchatthefrontoftheunitwillcontroltheunit.

5.Press the ON/OFF button on the hand held

remotetocodetheremotetotheIFC–after4
beepsareheard–handheldispairedwithIFC.

4.Install3AAAbatteriesintohandheldremote.
