INSTALLATION PRECAUTIONS
Theseventingsystemsareengineeredproducts
thathavebeendesignedandtestedforusewith
theH15E-NG11,andH15E-LP11.Thewarrantywill
bevoidedandseriousfire,healthorothersafety
hazardsmayresultfromanyofthefollowingactions:
1) InstallationofanydamagedRigidPipecom-
ponent.
2) Unauthorized modification of any Rigid Pipe
System.
3) InstallationotherthanasinstructedbySimpson
Dura-VentandFPIFireplaceProductsInterna-
tionalLtd.
Warning: Always maintain required
clearances (air spaces) to nearby
combustibles to prevent a fire hazard.
Do not fill air spaces with insulation.
Besuretochecktheventterminationclearance
requirements from decks, windows, soffits, gas
regulators,airsupplyinletsandpublicwalkwaysas
specifiedinthe"ExteriorVentTerminalLocations"
sectionandinyourlocalbuildingcodes.
The gas appliance and vent system must be
vented directly to the outside of the building,
and never be attached to a chimney serving a
separate solid fuel or gas-burning appliance.
Eachdirectventgasappliancemustuseit'sown
separateventsystem.Commonventsystemsare
prohibited.
VENTING INTRODUCTION
The HorizontalTermination Kit and the Simpson
Dura-Vent Direct Vent venting systems, in com-
bination with the Direct Vent Freestanding Gas
Stoves,H15E-NG11,andH15E-LP11,havebeen
testedandlistedasdirectventheatersystemsby
WarnockHersey.
Theseunitsusethe"balancedflue"technology
Co-Axial system. The inner liner vents products
ofcombustiontotheoutsidewhiletheouterpipe
drawsoutsidecombustionairintothecombustion
chambertherebyeliminatingtheneedtouseheated
roomairforcombustionandlosingwarmroomair
upthechimney.
Note: These flue pipes must not be
connected to any other appliance.
Thegasapplianceandventsystemmustbevented
directly to the outside of the building, and never
beattachedtoachimneyservingaseparatesolid
fuelorgasburningappliance.Eachdirectventgas
appliancemustuseit'sownseparateventsystem.

1) Wearglovesandsafetyglassesforprotec-
tion.
2) Exerciseextremecautionwhenusinglad-
dersoronrooftops.
3) Be aware of electrical wiring locations in
wallsandceilings.
VENT RESTRICTOR POSITION
TosettheVentrestrictionasindicatedinthe
Venting Arrangement diagrams in the "Rigid
PipeVentingSystem"section,simplyloosen
thescrewsandpushtheventrestrictorplateto
the correct position.Tighten the screws.This
willbelocatedinsidethefirebox.
ROTATING ELBOW
1) Removetopcasting.
2)Removeall4screwsthatsecure
theelbowtotheunitusinga1/4"
magneticnutdriver.
3)Rotatetheelbow180
o
4)Securetheelbowbysecuring
itwiththe4screws.
Remove all 4 screws
and washers
