framing out a square that the cap can
be mounted on.
3) Attachthe4"dia.flexlinertotheventterminal
ensuringthattheflexoverlapsthecollarofthe
ventterminalbyaminimumof1-3/8"(35mm).
UseMill-Pactosealandsecurewith3ofthe
#8x1/2"screws(stainlesssteel).
4) Attachtheadjustablepipesectiontothevent
terminalusingMill-Pacandattachwith3ofthe
#8x1/2"screws(stainlesssteel).
NOTE: For best results and optimum perfor-
mance with each approved venting sys-
tem, it is highly recommended to apply
“Mill-Pac” sealant (supplied) to every
inner pipe connection. Failure to do so
may result in drafting or performance
issues not covered under warranty.
Note: If installing termi-
nation on a siding
covered wall, a vinyl
siding standoff or
furring strips must
be used to ensure
that the termination
is not recessed into
the siding. For vinyl
siding standoff installation refer to the
Dura-Vent Termination instructions.
5) Slide the partially connected pipe and vent
terminal assembly through the wall thimbles
(fromtheexteriorintotheinterior)andsecure
thecaptotheexteriorwallwith4ofthesupplied
screws(#8x1-1/2"drillpoint,stainlesssteel).
Note:pilotholeswillneedtobedrilledthrough
thewallthimbleonall4corners.
Note: The four screws provided for the vent
cap should be replaced with appropriate
fasteners for stucco, brick, concrete, or
other types of sidings.
6) Abeadofnon-hardeningmasticshouldberun
around both the termination and vinyl siding
standoff to prevent water from entering and
tomakeatightsealbetweenthecapandthe
standoff.
7) Stretchthe4"dia.flexlineroutfullyandgeta
trialfitofthelinerontothe4"dia.startercollar.
8) Cutthe4"dia.flexlinertothedesiredsize.
Hint:
leaveanextra12"to16"oflength,thiswillmake
thefinalassemblyeasiertoworkwith.
9) Securethe4"dia.flexlinertothe4"adapterwith
Mill-Pacand3ofthe#8x1/2"screws(stainless
steel).
10)Slide the decorativeThimble Cover over the
pipesectionsandsecurewith4screws(#8x
1-1/2"drillpoint,black)tothewall.
11)Slide the 90

elbow (crimp end up), the 45

12)Installthespringspacersontothepipesections.
