BUMPER PROP 1.5 TO 2.5m
The bumper prop prevents the ladder structure from bowing when the mobile equipment is loaded. The
bumper prop is used when the support point is too high to use a base bumper prop. It can be attached to
any rung of the ladder structure. The slides can be supported against the façade of a building or flanged to
a scaffold. The support against the façade of the building or the scaffolding must be solid and durable. The
installation can be done from a window opening, a balcony or from scaffolding. The person or persons
installing the bumper prop, must wear a safety harness with a fall arrest system, anchored to a suitable part
of the building or the structure.
The adjustable bumper prop is extendable from 1.5 to 2.5m.
Installation:
- Bring the bumper prop into line with the previously installed ladder frame (1).
- Open the lock by pulling on the rope (2) and then hook the sleeve of the bumper prop onto the rung
(3). Lock the hook by releasing the rope.
- Hang the bumper prop on an upper rung of the ladder using the chains and hooks (4) supplied with
the bumper prop. Adjust the position of the bumper prop so that it is as close to horizontal as
possible for greater shoring efficiency.
