7.6.3 Dissolved Calibration with CO
2
Calibration Kit
Dissolved calibrations exposes the CO
2
sensor to a known source of dissolved CO
2
using the Orbisphere calibration kit part numbers 32313 or 32314.
The system checks for 3 calibration cycles (20 sec. each) within a CO
2
sensor output
range of 1%. The reference value is entered at the end of the procedure as the operator
needs to know the liquid temperature of the reference sample being used, which will be
shown by the analyzer.
Preparation
Please follow the instructions supplied with the calibration kit to prepare a CO
2
reference
sample.
Increase the forcing gas pressure of the piercer according to the CO
2
calibration kit table
(included with the kit). Set the forcing gas pressure to 1 bar above the value shown in the
column
Pressure
and which corresponds to the ambient temperature.

• At the end of the analysis the display shows the message
Raise tube
;
ENTER
• When prompted for
Cal kit CO2 value
, enter the concentration shown in the
calibration kit table (water column) corresponding to the temperature shown by the
instrument;
ENTER
Note:
During the whole procedure the
ESC
key can be pressed to abort the calibration
procedure. The maximum number of cycles is 7.
At high ambient temperatures (above 25ºC) the calibration kit bottle is at a high CO
2
pressure. Remove the piercer lever carefully to avoid splashing.
