PET holding clamp: Lower the assembly until the bottom of the PET bottle
touches down the rubber mat, the neck being supported by the clamp.
5) Lock orange lever when height is correct for the package used.
6) Check that positioning plate clears the package when the piercing lever is tilted
backward (away from the operator), allowing easy substitution of packages.
5.2.4 Adjust the Sampling Tube Lower Stop
After the height of the package positioning device has been set, adjust the position of
sampling tube lower stop:
1) Pierce a sample package.
2) Loosen the locking screw from the adjustable stop.
3) Slowly lower the sampling tube to touch the bottom of the package, then raise it
by about 1/2 cm.
4) Continue to raise the sampling tube, until the next available hole on the rod is
visible. Tighten the adjustment stop screw in this hole.
Note:
Goal is to create a safety gap below sampling tube, to avoid piercing the bottom of the
package during the sampling process.
5.3 Turning on the System
5.3.1 PC Software
The OrbiPack software is required for measurement. Most operation-related information
is displayed and controlled from the PC. Therefore, the PC must be connected to the
instrument, turned on, and the OrbiPack software running.
5.3.2 Start the Instrument
As the OrbiPack software controls the measurement process, the key switch on the
instrument must remain in the vertical position to perform measurements. This avoids
unwanted setting changes.

The configuration screen remains for a few seconds, and then the message prompts for
the start of the measurement sequence.
