Replacing a front drive backplane

Guidelines

WARNING!

To avoid bodily injury from hot surfaces, allow the server and its internal modules to cool before
touching them.

The required Exp module firmware varies by the number of storage controllers attached to the
backplane:

•

If one controller is attached, use the single version firmware.

•

If two controllers are attached, use the dual version firmware.
