If this operator will be used with gates that are mounted on masonry, brick, or rock (etc.) columns, read
the following carefully before proceeding
A. The simplest solution is to install the operator in a push-to-open configuration. The minimum
clearance is easier to achieve and clearance is no longer a problem, since the operator will be
pushing the gate away from the column instead of pulling it toward the column. It is recommended
that you place a steel plate between the operator mounting brackets and masonry surface for
additional strength.
B. If a push-to-open installation is impossible
due to traffic hazards, terrain, etc., another
option is to re-hang the gate. You may
hang it on a post, either in the center of the
column or at the back corner, or move the
gate to the back corner of the columns.
C. The most difficult solution is to cut a notch
in the column to accommodate the operator
and power cable. This job is NOT for the inexperienced!*

Step 5
Press the transmitter to activate
operator arms. The gates will
begin to OPEN.
Step 6
The gate that was programmed in step 4
will stop on its own. Press the transmitter
again to stop the other gate when it
reaches the desired OPEN limit.
A1. Master gate reaches open postion -
press and hold LEARN MAST LIMIT for
5 seconds, or until buzzer beeps to
set open postion. (Master gate is now
programmed)
B1. 2nd gate reaches open postion -
press and hold LEARN 2ND LIMIT for
5 seconds, or until buzzer beeps to
set open postion. (Second gate is now
programmed)
Step 7
Press the transmitter once again to close gates. Both gates open position are now programmed.
If you make a mistake and set the limit at the wrong position: press your transmitter to return the gates
to the fully closed position, then press and hold the LEARN MAST LIMIT and/or the LEARN 2ND LIMIT
button for 5 seconds. This will clear the memory for the open limit position. Repeat Steps 1-6
