5.3.1.3 Media Profiles Overview
A Media Profile contains all the configuration settings for each of its video, audio and metadata
streams.
5.3.1.4 Default Media Profiles and Video Encoders
The Oncam C-12 camera supports up to four hardware video encoders which capture,
compress, and convert video data into a format suitable for streaming and/or recording
.
Four default Media Profiles (MP1 - MP4 when in Multiple Streams Mode) have been created to
represent each video encoder.
New profiles can be created by reusing one of the camera's four video encoders. This allows
multiple combinations of video, audio and metadata. A total of 6 new Media Profiles can be
created in addition to the default 4 that are always present (in Multiple Streams Mode).
See
Figure 194 Media Profile Overview
Any changes made to the video settings in a profile will change the configuration of that
encoder and therefore effect all Media Profiles using that video encoder including the default
Media Profiles.
In High Speed Mode only one encoder is supported, hence one default Media Profile (MP1) is
available.
