These settings control the audio input system, including the type and data rate of encoding, and
input audio level.
5.3.5.3.1 Audio Source
Select the audio input to be used as the source for the camera's audio streams. The options
available will depend on the specific hardware configuration. External microphone input is
primary supported option.
5.3.5.3.2 Audio Encoder
Select the audio encoding standard to be used for the input audio stream. Options include
G.711 and AAC.
Make sure you choose an option supported by any client systems that will stream audio
from the camera.
5.3.5.3.3 Audio Bit Rate
Select the bit rate required for the audio encoder. As with video, higher bit rate requires more
storage, but can offer a better-quality signal. For G.711 64 Kbps is supported.
5.3.5.3.4 Audio Sample Rate
Select the required sample rate for the audio encoder. For AAC 48kHz is supported, which
provides a high-quality audio. For G.711 8kHz sampling frequency is supported.
5.3.5.3.5 MIC gain
The input level of the Plus board's "MIC" terminal is controlled by the MIC gain. Adjust this
setting for optimum volume of the incoming audio without distortion.
5.3.5.3.6 Audio Multicast
Configure Audio Multicast settings for all Profiles. Enabling this option will update audio
multicast parameters for all profiles. This will only be applied to profiles where the
Audio
Encoder
is enabled. Go to
Video/Audio > Media Profiles
and scroll down to
Audio Encoder
and enable.
