9.3 Lifting a detached pump
WARNING
Overhead load
Death or serious personal injury
‐
Make sure that the lifting equipment is appropriate for
lifting the load before lifting the pump. See the weight
on the nameplate.
Before lifting the pump, make sure that the pump has been
detached according to the section about replacing a pump.
To lift a detached pump, do the following:
1. Make sure that there is adequate space around the solution for
the lifting equipment to lift the pump completely.
2. Lift the pump at the designated lifting points.
See the installation and operating instructions of the pump.
3. Fit the straps approved for lifting.
4. Make sure that the pump has been emptied of water, to the
extent possible, before lifting it.
5. Make sure that the pump flanges do not touch other flanges.
6. Lift the pump.
9.4 Replacing a non-return valve, gasket, fixture tap or
flow sensor in the pipe system
To replace a non-return valve, gasket, fixture tap or flow sensor in
the pipe system, do the following:
1. Make sure that the pipe system with the non-return valve,
gasket, fixture tap or flow sensor to be replaced is isolated from
the district heating pipe system.
2. Make sure that the isolating valves cannot be unintentionally
opened.
3. Depressurise the pipe system, and drain it slowly of district
heating water.
4. Dismantle the wiring connections to the flow sensor, and retract
them to the sensor.
5. Loosen and remove the bolts and nuts in the flanges.
6. Remove the non-return valve, gasket, fixture tap or flow sensor.
7. Install the new component by following the procedure in reverse.
When replacing the fixture tap, remember to wrap packing
yarn around the threads of the pipe stub before installing the
new fixture tap.
9.5 Replacing a pressure sensor in the pipe system
To replace a pressure sensor in the pipe system, do the following:
1. Make sure that the fixture tap between the pressure sensor and
the measuring stub of the pipe system is closed.
2. Dismantle the wiring connections to the pressure sensor, and
replace the sensor with a new pressure sensor.
Remember to wrap packing yarn around the threads of the
pressure sensor before installing it.
3. Install the pressure sensor wires, and open the fixture tap.
4. Make sure that the sensor is connected correctly without
leakage.
9.6 Replacing a temperature sensor
To replace a temperature sensor, do the following:
1. Loosen the locking screw of the temperature sensor.
2. Remove the temperature sensor.
3. Dismantle the wiring connections to the temperature sensor.
4. Install the new temperature sensor and use a heat conduction
paste to lubricate in the sensor pocket.
5. Install the wiring connections to the new temperature sensor.
9.7 Completing service work
•
Make sure that the building or the technical room is properly
closed. Check and remove foreign bodies, if any.
•
Damage to the solution must be remedied immediately. Contact
Grundfos.
