f.
Wear appropriate clothes. Do not wear loose clothes or jewellery. Keep your hair, clothes and gloves
away from the moving parts. Hair, clothes and gloves can be caught in the moving parts.
g.
If it is possible to mount dust extraction and collection devices, make sure that they are plugged
in and will be properly used. Using a dust extraction device can reduce dust-related hazards.
4. Proper power tool use and care
a.
Do not overload the tool. Use the power tools with their intended purpose. Working with
a properly selected power tool makes the work easier and more effective.
b.
Do not use a power tool with a broken on/off switch. A power tool which cannot be turned
on or off is dangerous and needs repair.
c.
Make sure you unplug the cord from the power source and/or remove the battery before mak-
ing any adjustment, changing accessories or after your work is finished. This safety measure
prevents unintentional startup of the power tool.
d.
Store the power tools away from the reach of children. Do not allow persons unfamiliar with
the tool or the instructions. Power tools used by inexperienced persons are dangerous.
e.
The maintenance of the power tool is necessary. Control if the moving parts of the tool work
fine and are not blocked, if they are not broken and damaged in a way that would influence
the proper performance of the power tool. Broken tools must be returned for repair before
use. Accidents are commonly caused by inappropriate maintenance of the power tools.
f.
Use the power tools, accessories, auxiliary tools, etc. according to the instructions. Pay at-
tention to the conditions and the kind of work that you perform. The non-designated use
of the power tool can lead to hazardous situations.
5. Service
a.
The repair of the power tool must be carried out by a qualified repair person using identical
replacement parts. It will ensure that the safety of use is kept.
Airless sprayer safety notice
The following notice refers to setting, usage, ground, maintenance and repair of the machine. The ex-
clamation mark signifies general notice while hazard symbol signifies the risk of emergence of a hazard
connected with a given procedure. Should the symbols occur in the text of the manual or on etiquettes,
please get back to the notice listed herein. In certain parts of the user manual there might be hazard
symbols and caution notices related to a given product which have not been described in this part
of the manual.
FIRE AND EXPLOSION HAZARD
Inflammable fumes from solvents and paints in the working area can ignite or explode. In order to avoid
conflagration or explosion:
1.
Avoid spraying inflammable and flammable materials in the vicinity of open fire or sources
of ignition, e.g. cigarettes, surface motors and electrical appliances.
2.
Paint or solution flowing through the machine can result in static electricity. Static electricity
presents a risk of fire or explosion in the presence of paint or solvent fumes.
3.
Check if all containers and collecting systems are earthed in order to prevent electrostatic dis-
charge. Do not use bucket lining if it does not have antistatic or conducting character.
4.
Do not use paints nor solvents containing halogenated hydrocarbons.
5.
Make sure the space where the spraying takes place is well ventilated. Maintain accurate fresh
air flow in the space. Store the pump module in a well ventilated place. Do not spray onto
the pump module.
6.
Do not smoke cigarettes in the spraying area.
7.
Do not use light or motor switch or other spark generating products in the spraying area.
