Belt tension / inspection
Great caution should be exercised when working with the machine's belt
drive, as there is danger of jamming fingers and hands in contact with the driving belt,
pulleys and guardings.
It is very important that the belt is properly installed and tightened. When installing a new
belt, tighten it to 1100 N. After 3 to 5 operating hours, the belt has loosened and it must be
inspected again. The tension level may now have changed. The belt must now be
inspected and adjusted to 900 N.
