ADJUST TRACKING

See Figures 10 and 11.
2. Start and run engine until it reaches
normal operating temperature.
3. Move unit to an open area for operation.
4. Mark position of speed control/safety bar
(A) on side of bracket (B).
5. Loosen speed control adjustment lock
(C). Move speed control/safety bar (A) to
a point midway between the control
panel and control levers (D) and tighten
speed control adjustment lock (C). See
Figure 10.
6. Drive unit forward, pushing both control
levers (D) all the way to safety bar (A).
7. Check unit tracking.
8. If unit does not drive in straight line,
adjustment is required. See Figure 11.
a. Remove spring pin (E) from back
of control rod swivel (F) and
remove swivel from bracket (G).
b. Adjust actuating length by rotating
the swivel up or down on the
control rod (H).
c. Place control rod swivel back in
bracket and replace spring pin.
d. Repeat on the other side of the
unit if necessary.
NOTE:
Measure to ensure swivel is adjusted
to same position on control rod on both sides
of machine.
9. Adjust speed control/safety bar (A) back
to original operating position identified in
step 4.
CAUTION:
Avoid injury! Clear area
of all bystanders before performing
this service procedure.
CAUTION:
Avoid injury! Do not
operate unit at a high speed when
checking for tracking. Adjust safety
bar to limit forward speed.
