ADJUSTING PARKING BRAKE
Parking brake must contact the rear wheel
and prevent the unit from moving when
engaged. To adjust:
1. Block wheels and release parking brake.
2. Remove spring pin (A) from inner end of
parking brake trunnion (B).
3. Remove trunnion from brake arm (C).
4. Rotate trunnion counter-clockwise on
parking brake rod (D) to increase
braking pressure.
IMPORTANT:
The amount of brake rod
threads visible below the trunnion must be a
minimum of 1 1/4 in. (32 mm) and a
maximum of 1 5/16 in. (34 mm).
5. Mount trunnion in brake arm and secure
with spring pin.
ADJUSTING CONTROL HANDLE
HEIGHT
(988156, 57, 58, 59)
The height of the controls can be adjusted
higher or lower than the factory setting based
on operator preference.
To adjust the control handle height:
1. Remove bottom spring pins on drive
control rods (A) and allow drive rods to
hang loose.
2. Remove thumb knobs (B) from both
sides of unit.
3. Rotate handle assembly up or down to
preferred height.
4. Reinstall thumb knobs.
5. Insert drive control rods into
corresponding holes in pump brackets
(C).
6. Reinstall spring clips on control rods.
