MOVING THE UNIT MANUALLY
IMPORTANT:
Transmission damage may
occur if the unit is moved or towed incorrectly.
•
Move unit by hand only.
•
Do not use another vehicle to move
unit.
•
Do not tow unit.
2. Turn bypass valves (A) one full turn
counterclockwise (open position). See
Figure 7.
3. Release parking brake.
4. Push unit to desired location.
NOTE:
Due to internal hydraulic system
resistance, the unit will move slowly.
5. Turn bypass valves one full turn
clockwise (closed position). Tighten
valve to 100 lbf-in (11 N•m).
6. Engage parking brake.
TRANSPORTING UNIT
ALWAYS shut off engine and remove key
when transporting unit on a truck or trailer.
Use extra care when loading or unloading
unit.
Engage parking brake. (988156, 57, 58, 59)
Ensure both speed control levers are all the
way back in neutral, steering levers are
latched in neutral, and parking brake is
applied. (988153, 54, 55)
Secure unit chassis to transport vehicle.
NEVER secure from rods or linkages that
could be damaged.
DO NOT transport machine while engine is
running.
CAUTION:
With the bypass valves
open, the unit will have unrestricted
motion if the parking brake is not
set.

The unit may free-wheel out
of control if the bypass valve
is opened with the unit on an
incline.
•
Park the unit on a level
surface and set the parking
brake before opening the
bypass valve.
