Replacing Mower Deck Idler Pulley
NOTE:
It is not necessary to remove spring
pressure to remove the idler pulley.
1. Park unit safely. (
2. Remove center belt cover.
3. Remove nyloc hex nut (A) from top of
idler pulley (B).
NOTE:
If necessary use a pry bar or
screwdriver to hold the round head square
neck hex bolt in the square hole in the idler
arm.
4. Remove the idler pulley.
5. Install new idler pulley on top of existing
spacer and tighten nyloc hex nut.
6. Check belt tension spring length

7. Install belt cover.
TRACTION DRIVE BELT

The Ogura electric clutch can be
adjusted if the clutch starts to slip. (See

1. Park unit safely. (

2. Remove mower deck belt guard.
3. Remove mower deck drive belt.

4. Locate hex bolt and flange nut (A)
directly behind engine (Figure 43). Fully
loosen but do not remove flange nut.
This will allow hex bolt to pivot, releasing
spring (D) tension (Figure 44).
5. Under unit, remove outer flange nut (B)
from idler pulley bolt (C) and disconnect
tension spring (D). See Figure 44.
6. Remove traction drive belt (E).
