Waf
fl
e plates
You can prepare delicious waf
fl
es with these plates.
1. Insert
the
waf
fl
e plates in the device as described in the chapter “Inserting and changing the
plates”.
2. Connect the device to a properly installed, easily accessible socket. The red power LED will
illuminate as soon as the device has been connected to a socket.
3. The device must pre-heat now. Always keep the device closed during this time. The pre-
heating process takes about 3–5 minutes and has ended when the green power LED
illuminates.
4. When the green power LED illuminates and the pre-heating process has ended, release the
latch and open the device.
5. Now add the waf
fl
e batter to the bottom waf
fl
e plate. Do not overdo it so that the batter is
not pressed out on the sides when you close the device.
6. Close the device and lock it with the latch so that it stays closed during the baking process.
Please note that the green power LED may alternately turn off and back on during the baking
process. If the green power LED illuminates, this indicates that the device is reheating to
maintain a constant temperature.
7. After approx. 5–6 minutes open the device to check whether the waf
fl
es have already been
baked to perfection or whether they need to be baked longer.
8. When the waf
fl
es are done, use wooden or plastic kitchen utensils to remove them to
prevent damage to the non-stick coating.
9. If you do not plan to bake any other waf
fl
es, pull the mains plug out of the socket and let the
device cool off completely before you remove and clean the plates and store them together
with the device.
