magicGNSS User Terminal Manual
4. MAGICSBAS USER MODULE APPLICATION USER MANUAL
4.1.
THE MAGICSBAS USER MODULE APPLICATION OVERVIEW
The magicSBAS User Module (UM) application installed in the magicGNSS User Terminal device is
a SW tool providing real-time SBAS solutions. It processes real-time observations provided by the
magicGNSS User Terminal device internal GNSS receiver, navigation data and SBAS augmentation
information to generate real-time SBAS positions.
4.2.
THE MAGICSBAS UM GRAPHICAL INTERFACE
When accessing magicSBAS UM through the magicGNSS User Terminal launcher the main
application display is shown.
This display is arranged into different sections:
o
Active Configuration: Shows a summary of the
current configuration.
o
Time: Shows the GPS time computed.
o
Position: shows the position computed.
o
Integrity: shows the protection levels computed
At the bottom, control buttons are displayed:
o
Play: starts the execution.
o
Settings: opens the configuration interface.
o
Stop: stops the execution.
This buttons are available in all display windows of the
tool except in configuration.
From this window it is possible to swipe to the right to open the sky polar view:
In this window, when a position can be computed, the values
of the Dilution of Precision (DOP) are shown for horizontal,
vertical and positioning dimensions.
On the centre of the screen, a polar view of the satellites in
view is shown. Satellites are identified with a letter (“G” for
GPS and “E” for Galileo) and a number (the PRN of the
satellite).
Satellites plotted in green are those satellites that have been
used in the computation of the solution. Those plotted in red
are visible but have not been used in the computation of the
solution.
Below the polar plot the number of visible and used satellites
is displayed.
