Learning to Use the Multi-Touch Screen
Touch. Touch the screen briefly to
select an icon, open an app,
activate a text-entry box, etc.
Touch and hold. Touch the screen
and hold for approximately 2
seconds to display the menu of
available options.
Drag. To move an icon, press and
hold down, drag it to the desired
position and then release.
Swipe or slide. Press briefly on the
Home screen and slide your finger
left or right across it to access the
extended screens, or slide your
finger up and down the screen to
scroll through a website, list or
menu.
Pinch. Place two fingers on the
screen at the same time and move
them towards one another or
spread them apart to reduce or
enlarge an image.
