In order to improve the PPP attainable performances, please consider
the following recommendations:
Please define the minimum test duration as double the length
of the convergence time (e.g. 80 min duration for a PPP
through SBAS with GPS and Galileo test).
Convergence period is especially significant in kinematic tests.
Please make sure that during the convergence period, the
receiver is a relatively clean environment, so that when the
kinematic tests begins, the PPP starts from a converged
position.
Please use the quick start functionality if convergence is not a
critical issue in the context of your test. Note that a well
calibrated initial position is needed.
Please use the internet connection, if available, as corrections
transmission method, rather than through the satellite,
especially in urban and sub-urban scenarios, where the GEO
lines of sight can be easily obstructed by buildings.
