Under normal operating conditions, a fully charged battery lasts approxi-
mately 90 minutes before it needs to be recharged. For optimal battery
life, make sure that the battery is fully charged before you try to use the
Cobalt AVL in battery mode. You should charge the battery at temperatures
between 0–40 °C.
The Battery icons show the battery charge level.
Battery must be charged
Approximately 1/3 battery life remaining
Approximately 2/3 battery life remaining
Battery is 2/3 to fully charged
Charge the Monitor Battery
The Cobalt AVL monitor includes a lithium battery. Verathon
®
recommends that you charge the battery before you use the
Cobalt AVL. To charge the battery:
1. Connect the female end of the 12 volt DC power supply to
the power socket on the back panel of the monitor.
2. Plug the male end of the power supply into a hospital-grade
power outlet.
