6. Cleaning of the bladder.
Wait until the cleaning fluid has
evaporated completely.
Only then may the bladder be
inserted halfway in the second
pipe/fitting end
.

Position the second pipe/fitting in
the middle of the fusion zone or
heating bush with first pipe/fitting
(max. permissible gap: 0.5 mm).

Making sure that the bladder is
positioned correctly, lock the
heating station.

Close and lock the second, right
clamping unit
.
10. Confirm with the
ENTER button.
11. Confirm with the
ENTER button.
Make sure that the bladder is
surroundded by the inside wall of the
pipe along its entire length, otherwise
any unsupported area may be over-
expanded and the bladder may burst.
The bladder may no longer be used
if the elastomer has been over-
expanded.
To clamp
pipe elbows (45°)
a
specially
designed supporting tool
is available as an accessory.
This serves to absorb the axial forces
which occur during the fusion of 45°
fittings.
When fusion jointing 90° fittings, the
moveable clamping unit can be used
as a supporting tool.
