With the integrated USB interface, paperless documentation is possible. The
fusion data can be loaded from the circular buffer of the fusion machine on the
USB stick (storage capacity max. 2 GB). The USB stick has a memory size of
max. 2500 fusion logs.
To transfer the data to the USB proceed as follows:
1. Switch fusion machine off or Standby.
2. Slide the USB stick into the USB interface only when the fusion machine is
switched off or Standby, otherwise the fusion machine could become
blocked. In such a case, switch the fusion machine off and on again.
3. Switch fusion machine back on/Standby off.
Via the menu, “Printout by date“ or “Printout by counter“, fusion logs of fusion
welds done earlier can subsequently be printed out (see Chapter 16.1 or 16.2).
To transfer the fusion protocol from the USB stick to a PC subdirectory, the
transfer software BCF-Plus WIN-WELD is necessary. Please see the
Instruction Manual for BCF-Plus WIN-WELD.
As of this time point, each fusion will be additionally stored on the USB stick.
17 Remote Welding Unit (RWU)
For fusions in difficult to reach places, the BCF Plus Remote Welding Unit
(RWU) may be used.
This can be unlatched with the two clamp screws on the back of the heating
station and removed from the machine housing together with the ventilator.
Use of the RWU does
not
differ greatly from normal operation with the BCF
Plus machine. Connect the RWU to the BCF Plus machine (to heating station
outlet) using the
extension cable
(length: 8 m) included in shipment. Proceed
as you would for normal BCF Plus fusion preparation and procedure.
Pipes/fittings are positioned in the heating station and must be fastened with
the clamping units, making sure the corresponding dimension-specific
clamping inserts are used.
The
RWU extensions
may be removed so that it is easier to work in tight
spaces.
The RWU must
always be supported
or fastened securely by the
provided
eye hooks
, to protect the piping system from becoming damaged.
The fusion times are the
same
as on the fully assembled
BCF Plus machine
.
