Standard Duty Operator

GCL-J&H

The Rolling Steel Door Operator can be assembled for

right-hand

left-hand

Fig. 1.

(Each model can also be

Section 4: Installation

Front of Hood

1) Attach mounting brackets (112145.0001) to operator using

5/16" hex nuts and bolts.

2) Attach operator and mounting brackets (112145.0001) to
large angle power support bracket using 5/16"-18 hex nuts and bolts.

4) Install 12 tooth #50 sprocket on output shaft of operator,

and #50 door sprocket on door shaft.

3) Attach assembly to head plate with 7/16"-14 socket button head

cap screws and hex nuts.

Finger tight

5) Align the door sprocket and operator output sprocket and

wrap #50 roller chain around both. Lock sprockets in place
by tightening their set screws.

6) Tension the drive chain by pulling the operator through the

slot in the power support bracket and tighten cap screws and nuts.

On Jackshaft units, release cable must be installed on operator

before unit is installed.
