Operation
10.1
Safety notes
The working platform may only be operated by qualified personnel determined
by the employer. This qualified personnel must be acquainted with the
assembly and operating manual, have sufficient experience and be informed
about the risks involved in handling the working platform.

Secure the working platform thoroughly against unauthorized access! - Pull out the mains plug at
the end of work/during breaks.
•
If the loaded load suspension device stops during operation due to a malfunction, then the
operating personnel must recover the load. - Never leave a loaded platform unattended!
•
Check at least once a day for externally recognizable damages and defects. Immediately report any
changes or malfunctions determined to the company management or his/her authorized
representative. If necessary, shutdown and secure machine immediately.
•
Observe national accident prevention guidelines and/or workplace guidelines.
•
Wear personal protective gear (e.g. hard hat, safety boots).
•
Do not transport bulky parts that project over the side of the platform.
•

10.2
Impermissible mode of operation

Working with improperly assembled winch
-
Exceeding the bearing capacity.

One-sided loading of the load suspension device.
-
Working with damaged machine parts or with machines affected by faults.
-
Working when the repeated inspection has not been carried out on time.

Working during stormy weather, limited visibility (thick fog, darkness) or when there is hoarfrost
and black ice forming
-
Working during stormy weather with wind speeds of over 12.5 m/s.
If the working platform is secured against swinging by suitable measures e.g. by attaching guide ropes,
then work can continue.
10.3
Safety inspection
Before start of work
The winch must be stopped immediately if

The EMERGENCY STOP button is pressed; the winch can only accept a drive command again
after the start button (Fig. 46 and Fig. 47 pos.4) has been pressed. If a drive command is possible
without pressing the start button then the controller must be checked.

The direction button for UP or DOWN is released.
Daily inspection of the platform fastening with C-clamps
When securing the platform with the C-clamp, you should check again that the fitting is correct (e.g.
secure fitting of screws; locking pins are locked).
