To replace the gasket proceed as follows with reference to Figure 7-40:

Instructions for disassembly

- remove the pumping piston in accordance with the procedure described on sheet A[d]

- unscrew the bolts

and extract the flange

from the guide piston

- extract the wiper seal

and the seal gasket

Instructions for assembly

To refit the disassembled components, proceed as follows:

- fit the wiper seal

and the gasket

(18)

in the seat inside the flange

(15)

- check and clean the stem of the piston; if its surface is badly scored or the chromium coating is

damaged the piston assembly must be replaced. The stem of the guide piston cannot be supplied

separately as a spare part

- fit the flange complete with O-Ring

all the way onto the guide piston

take care not to damage the lip of the seal gaskets, using lubricating grease in order to facilitate

assembly

- tighten the screws
