Security
For enhanced security and for image authentication purposes, you can electronically encrypt
and embed recorded pictures with specific site and camera information (
Figure 35 ). This
information is stored in a protected region of the image and does not alter the content or
structure of the picture. Similarly, alterations made to the picture do not affect the
authentication information.
In the Restrict local viewing mode , you can only view specific camera images from your
local machine (the DVR itself). Remote users connected to the DVR across a network or
other remote means cannot view the images from this camera regardless of security access
account and password level. The default mode for this option is disabled.
