To replace the electronic expansion valve (EEV):
1. Turn power off.
2. Remove the rear shroud cover and the
rear shroud as 1 assembly. (See
Machine
Compartment Covers
.)
3. Remove the evaporator inlet sensor from
the evaporator inlet tubing. (See
Temperature
Sensors
.)
6. If you are using a torch to replace the EEV
valve, unsolder the EEV from the drier inlet tube
and the evaporator inlet tube using currently
accepted procedures.
7. Apply a liberal amount of heat-absorbing
thermal paste, such as Part #WX5X8927, to the
replacement EEV.
9. Install the evaporator inlet sensor to the
evaporator inlet tube, then insulate the sensor
location with new mastic (Part #WS03X10075).

4. Rotate the coil until the indent on the coil clip is
between detents on the valve body.
5. Lift the coil from the valve body.

8. Braze the dryer inlet tube and the evaporator
inlet tube using silfos.
