To remove the front shroud:
Note:
The front shroud is attached to the top of the
tank with 5 screws and to the rear shroud with 4
tabs (2 on each side) that engage 4 slots located
inside the machine compartment.
1. remove the front shroud cover. (See

2. remove the control panel from the front shroud.

Remove the five T-20 Torx screws from the
bottom of the front shroud.
Caution:
Wiring is attached to the bottom of the
junction box. To prevent wire breakage, care must
be taken when removing the junction box from the
rear shroud cover.
6. Lift and disengage the junction box from the
opening in the rear shroud cover.

4. Lift the front shroud straight up to disengage the
4 tabs from slots in the rear shroud.
5. pull the front shroud out from the machine
compartment, then carefully tilt and pass the
control panel thru the opening.

To remove the rear shroud cover:
1. remove the front shroud cover. (See

this section.)
2. Disconnect power to the water heater.
3. remove the four T-20 Torx screws from the top
of the junction box cover.
4. Lift the junction box cover from the rear shroud
cover.
5. Disconnect the power supply wires at the water
heater junction box.
